Pheffer Amato and Rajkumar Visit Local Businesses
Ozone Park, NY – Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) and Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar (D-South Queens) partnered for a business walk in Ozone Park on Tuesday, October 12. They had the opportunity to visit laundromats, delis, and a flower shop in the area and distributed hand sanitizer and small business resources.
“This is my favorite part of my job: being in our community and getting to know the people who make it shine,” Pheffer Amato said. “As the owner of a small business, I know the struggles that the business community has faced in the last year. It was great to meet such resilient business owners in Ozone Park who are committed to bettering their communities.”
“It was inspirational speaking to the hardworking and enterprising small business owners on 101 Avenue. I am on the Assembly Small Business Committee, so what they told me is going straight to Albany,” said Assemblywoman Rajkumar. “I am committed to helping them access support in the form of grants and tax credits, as well as assisting them in cutting through bureaucratic red tape.”
