"I really appreciate everyone joining us today and having this very, very important conversation, very enlightening and really raises much of the concerns that I've been hearing throughout the communities. But we need to work together. We need to stand together. And look at very specific actions that need to be taken either through legislation and certainly through the budget as well but the very comprehensive in the conversation today and I'm hopeful that I will be able to work with my colleagues and many of you to be able to move forward and provide much more substantial action taken so that we can really offer these children and families an environment, a lifestyle that gives them the opportunity to have a stable and productive future," said Assemblymember Ellen Jaffee, Chair of the Assembly Committee on Children and Families, in response  the many witnesses sharing their testimonies at a public hearing held by the Assembly Standing Committee on Children and Families to examine the impact of the State budget on supports for foster parents and caretakers of children removed from their homes. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
